About this space

Come and retreat into this cozy tiny place on a farm for a rustic stay.

It is about 88 sq ft (be aware of the size!). The futon offers a full size mattress. Only 1 bed. The kitchenette consists of a hot plate, a small water tank for dishes and a water fountain for drinking.
The wood stove will keep you warm, wood and fire starters are provided.
There is NO running water, therefore no shower.
The outhouse is right behind the shack.
Complimentary tea and coffee are included.

The space

Time to come and visit us at Bald Mountain Farm,
a 28 acre property with pasture, woods, a heritage apple orchard, a wild blueberry patch, ponds and streams.
Guests are free to explore our land and hang out with our animals.
Warning: we have guard geese who will come and yell at you, just show them who is the boss and they will back off.

Other things to note

This is a rustic stay with no shower and a composting toilet. The items provided are basic to maximize the available space. If there’s anything you need during your stay, please don’t hesitate to ask us, we may have it. There is electricity hooked to our main system through an extension cord. It will therefore not sustain many things hooked into it (lights, a fan, a phone and a hot plate are ok, but no fridge or AC) and in the future we are planning to take this completely off grid!
This is a working farm with many birds who crow, honk, scream, cluck, quack… be aware!

Pet policy

You can leave your pets alone only if they are kenneled. We have one kennel available and 2 pet beds. We would appreciate if you brought your own pet covers to avoid all the hair on the beddings as it is hard to get rid of it. All dogs must be leashed while on the farm. Thank you
